The BEST little blanket
This was a splurge purchase for me, but I LOVE this little blanket and am so glad to have it. I have this turquoise color which is just beautiful, and the blanket is extremely soft. The grey side is waterproof so I used this as a rain cover back when my son was in his baby carseat/carrier. Now I use it all the time to carry him in/out of the car and block the wind/cold. We've used it on his stroller to block the sun for walks, and I love that it ties to the stroller so it won't fall on the ground. Most recently I used it to help keep him dry when we had to wait in the rain to see santa at the zoo. I also put it down for diaper changes when out and about (now that he's too big for my old changing pad) and use it on the patient table at the doctor's office - there are just a LOT Of uses. Although a bit expensive, this would make a wonderful baby shower gift.

weight is adequate for winter wear, too heavy for summer
velcro-ed swaddle is secure and easy for people who don't want to learn blanket swaddle

Con's
The velcro is abrasive and caution must be used if not correctly fastened
-will get entangled with other clothing in washing machine/dryer despite caution
- velcro sticks to silk so be careful

The velcro swaddle "wings:"
-can be wrapped around baby when not swaddled, but makes for alot of heat and bulk
-can be Velcro-ed behind baby, which again is bulky
-when properly swaddled, material can still ride up towards babies face and is too thick to breathe through.

No sleeves, would prefer that this was a one-sie, but a shirt must be worn beneath, which means the shirt rides up or has to be snapped during the...
