Better than the rest
The Miracle Blanket is the fifth swaddling blanket we have tried; it is the only one from which our daughter cannot escape. It has an extra step for securing the arms that takes a little practice, but the extra step is what keeps her nice and snug so it is worth it. She still fusses in it some nights, but there are times when she really does calm down at the sight of it (this is a claim they make on the package and I was initially quite skeptical). She sleeps so much better when she is swaddled and does not have her flailing arms to wake her, so overall we are pleased. I am taking away one star because of the outrageous price for a piece of jersey cotton. Since I cannot sew though, I will grudgingly pay it.

Awesome Product!!!
We love this product!!! When used on our 5 week old she will sleep about 6-7 hours a night. She can be fussy and this will calm her down, fast! Good swaddle blanket but not better than others out there for less.
I borrowed this from my sister along with her Woombie (zip up sack which I found to be a lot easier for very young babies) and eventually I bought a Summer Infant Swaddleme from Amazon for less than $11 when he outgrew those. They all have their pros and cons and they all work fine when you figure them out. I didn't think this was any better or worse than the other two overall, but I can see that it costs a lot more. My son grew out of this pretty early (less than two months- He's in the 98th percentile for length) and I believe it only comes in one size. I found it to be kind of a pain to wrap it around him and I needed to redo it if it wasn't tight enough. It could be a little hard to tuck if it didn't wrap around to the exact right place. I guess I was doing the first two flaps wrong too now that I see the pictures of how it's supposed to be done so I would say it's not very intuitive. The cotton is very durable but I didn't find it particularly soft or anything. It didn't...

ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE!
We honestly could not live without this product! We thought our baby hated being swaddled when we were using Summer Infant swaddles, and we ended up not swaddling for 8 weeks. Finally, we had to try again so that we could all get some much needed sleep, so I pulled out the miracle blanket. First night, she slept 7 hours! I know that different products work for different babies, and I'm sure that the Summer Infant swaddler is great for some babies, however we have found that the Miracle Blanket gets a much snugger swaddle and also keeps her warmer. I will likely make this product a staple present at all future baby showers! Do yourself a favor and buy one.

I must admit that in the past I haven't had the best luck with products containing "miracle" in their name. However, this blanket is the shining exception!

Our son was a very big boy -- 10 lb, 6 oz of joy. We had read Harvey Karp's "The Happiest Baby on the Block" (highly recommended) and we knew we wanted to swaddle him. We had planned to use a receiving blanket, but we quickly found out that none of them were remotely big enough. Not even close. We spent a ton of money buying bigger blankets, and we tried two other expensive swaddling blankets as well. Nothing worked, nothing held the baby, and all three of us were desperate to get some sleep. We even bought a cheap sheet set and tore it up to get some bigger patches of cloth. No dice.

Finally, I ordered this blanket online (Amazon didn't carry it at the time, alas.) BINGO -- our son slept through the night at once! Yes! We had to wake him from a sound, swaddled sleep to change and feed him; he went back down...

What a product!
I received this blanket from some relatives for my baby shower. I took one look at it and thought they were crazy. There was no way my baby was going in that thing! When my son was about a month old, however, my husband and I were desperate for sleep, so we decided to give it a try. What a miracle! The other reviews have just about said it all as far as how wonderful it is, but I would like to add one thing. When he started to outgrow it, we loosened it a little bit at a time. I think this was very effective. We basically weaned him off of it so that it wasn't so hard for him to fall asleep without it. Great product!

In our childbirth classes, my husband and I were the most swaddling-impaired of all our classmates! For whatever reason, we just couldn't get it right. Luckily, these blankets make it easy enough for a monkey to swaddle a baby. My only criticism is that the colored versions of these blankets are not as soft or stretchy as the unbleached cotton ones. But they're still worthy of 5 stars.

Seattle recently had a heat wave, and one night we tried putting our newborn son in a light sleep sack instead of his Miracle Blanket. He woke nearly every 10-30 minutes due to startling himself with his arms and legs. After half a sleepless night, we wrapped him up tightly in one of these blankies and it was smooth sailing for the rest of the night.
